Whether your dream is in Acting, Directing, Playwriting, Costume Design and Construction, Set Design, Lighting, Sound, Props, or Stage Management, the Dalhousie Theatre Department has a programme designed to give you everything you need to get you started in your chosen career.
We have five programmes of study to choose from: Acting, Costume Studies, Music and Theatre, Scenography and Technical Scenography and Theatre Studies.
In the spirit of true collaboration, students from all five areas of study come together four times a year to present our DalTheatre productions. They have the opportunity to work alongside nationally and internationally known Directors and Designers to create professional calibre theatre.
The Department of Theatre and DalTheatre is in the heart of a vibrant and active theatre community. This community nourishes the spirit of collaboration that is central to theatre production.

FRIDAY, MARCH 12: Our next 'Chair's Tea Party' will take place this Friday, March 12 from 4-5:30 in the Script Library in the Theatre Department. There will be tea and home baking available. All students, staff and faculty are extremely welcome to drop by for as short or long a time as they wish and to share feedback with the Chair--or just to hang out! Hope to see you there!
